ev-200 Hydraulic Pack "No Pilot'" alarm.
I have recently installed a ev-200 hydraulic pack on a Brand New Boston Whaler 285 Conquest. This boat has twin 225 Verado's and is about 29 feet long. The system also included:* 1 x E165 MFD* Engine Gateway (Mercury/Raymarine)* Open Array Radar and VCM 100* Chirp 450 C* RS130 External GPS* VHF * APU 200* EV 1 Compass* Type 1 Hydraulic Pump* P70R Head UnitWe have done 3 setups like this since the Evolution Autopilots came out. Everyone we have done seems to have a similar drama. Whenever the auto pilot is engaged it will work for anywhere from 1 second to thirty seconds before displaying a "No Pilot" alarm. They are all talking to one another and I have checked they're all there in External Devices (On MFD) and they are. I have updated the MFD with the latest software,.... no difference. I have tried different calibrations at the start as well as very fine tuning my hard over time, my dock side calibration and aligning the compass by driving in a straight line at about 10 Knots. But as soon as I engage the auto pilot within seconds it comes up with "No Pilot" and "Drive Stopped" alarms on both the E165 and the P70R. I noticed that my maximum devation is 188 degrees for some reason. In previous AP systems I know that your max deviation should be less than 10deg if at all. My EV 1 is connected via sting cable to 5 way sting bus and my course computer is plugged into the same 5 way bus. The P70R is connected to another 5 way bus linked into the same back bone as the previous, obviously. I have then daisy chained a sting cable from the P70R to the E165. Does anyone have any ideas?????? See More
