After a year layup my ST60 Depth Instrument was not functional. I sent the display back to Raymarine and was able to find a second hand display. With the new me Display, the symptoms went from ---and ocasionally a Last, to an unstable depth display with no relationship to known depth. The cable ends on the sensor cable were replaced. Raymarine said check the cables for damage. Unfortunately, the cable is routed through various nearly inaccessible locations and conduits. I question whether it might not be a bad sending, which would not make things easier since a 39 ft Sailboat would need to be pulled to change the transciever and the cable would have to be run. Any ideas?
