I just re-installed the autopilot system on my boat after changing the motor which had been diagnosed as defective.  It was probably defective, but replacing it has not solved the problem.  I also redid all the wiring connections, cleaned the connectors and put them exactly as before.  Here are the clues:- When I put the Autopilot on AUTO, I can still move the rudder.  If I remember correctly that was not the case prior to the autopilot going bad.- When I put the Autopilot on AUTO then press +10, the motor turns, I cannot see whether the oil is moving or not.  The pump make a small noise.  The arm does not move.- The electro-valve at the end of the arm is connected exactly like it was before.  When we push on AUTO, it gets 12 volts.  There are only two wires going to the electro-valve eventhough there are three connectors at the valve, only two at the course computer.See More
